Background of HVAC Namibia
Established in 2020, based on the government’s need for the RAC Sector Association that can liaise with NOU Office – MIT
Non-profit Organization that deals with all aspects of HVAC Systems, be it commercial or domestic systems. This also include technology of vehicles, environmental comfort with respect to cooling, ventilation and air conditioning.
The Association is establish in line with SADC RAC, that is an umbrella body of HVAC Associations SADC
Decarbonization Conference
Namibia successfully hosted the Decarbonization Conference hosted by the HVAC Association Namibia in March 2023, a huge milestone in the SADC RAC Association.
Aims of HVAC Namibia
To serve as a bridge between our members and all stakeholders and government.
Assist in the implementation of regulations issued by the government in accordance with the country’s regulations and Acts.
Regulation on ODS, Good Practices and Overall Safety around HVAC Equipment & Refrigerants in the RAC Industry
Collaborate with NOU Office and other stakeholders of RAC Sector training
Lead the Certification & Recovery Training in Namibia
Facilitation of collaboration or joint ventures among the members
Create awareness to RAC Sector members on new developments in the Sector
Providing assistance to members in marketing their business
Ensure that quality services provisioned by members and maintain a high level standard of work in the RAC Sector
Operation in the RAC Sector in Namibia
The Association collaborate with the NOU Office & Stakeholders to celebrate Yearly events in the RAC Sector

Regional Certification & Recovery Center
HVAC Association with the support of the SADC RAC Association has established the HVAC Certification and Recovery Centre.
SADC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Training and Certification Handbook has been developed, which is one of our biggest milestones.
The Certificate of Conformity is introduced in line with Industrial standards and demands another milestone to ensure that all new installations are done according to the RAC Sector standards
