ABOUT US

The Heating, Energy, Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Association of Zimbabwe (HEVACRAZ) seeks to make it mandatory that practitioners keep abreast with the new technological developments, discoveries and innovations if they are to remain professionally relevant. It resonates with the national aspirations of the economic blueprint on structural transformation and productivity improvements through resuscitation and revival of the economy and re-engagement of the international community. We are in the highest grading with no upper limit in the value of works in the Public and Private Sector. The association is registered and we are affiliated to the National Ozone Unit (NOU) under the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry of Zimbabwe.

OUR MISSION

We are committed to participate in training delivery, customer awareness, establishing centers of excellence, curricula development, universal certification, Research and Development consortium using a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model and to ensure Social Security schemes with adequate health and life insurance coverage for the RAC service technicians.

Our capabilities are extensive and include the following:

• Design and Installation;

• Programmed Maintenance and Service;

• Air Conditioning and Refrigeration;

• Heating, Ventilation and Extraction;

• Cooling Towers (New and Upgrades);

• Process Cooling and Heating;

• Ducting Systems;

• Chillers and Boilers;

• Ventilation and Condensation Control;

• Products Storage and Chilling;

• Cold rooms, Freezer rooms and Walk-in fridges

• Supplying air conditioning & refrigeration units and spare parts

BENEFITS

RAC servicing sector is directly related to the consumption of refrigerants and optimum and efficient performance of in use air conditioning equipment. This sector is largely unorganized and presents an immediate opportunity for securing environmental benefits and livelihoods enhancement of RAC service technicians through:

• Training and certification;

• Good refrigeration practices and workmanship Research and Development;

• Ensure harmonization of policies;

• Engage Freelance Technicians;

• Develop and promote Online Training Courses;

• Mandatory adherence to standardized training curriculum by all training providers
